Scabbers
Scabbers is Ron Weasley's pet rat in the Harry Potter series, introduced in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." He is described as an old, scrawny rat with thinning fur and missing toes. Scabbers is often depicted as lazy and lethargic, spending much of his time sleeping or hiding in Ron's pockets.
However, it is later revealed in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" that Scabbers is actually Peter Pettigrew, a former friend of Harry's parents and a servant of Voldemort. Pettigrew had been hiding as a rat for years to evade capture and had fooled everyone into believing he was just an ordinary rat.
Scabbers plays a crucial role in the series as his discovery and true identity lead to the unraveling of mysteries surrounding Sirius Black's wrongful imprisonment and the truth about Voldemort's return. Despite his seemingly harmless appearance, Scabbers/Pettigrew proves to be a significant character with a dark past and hidden agenda.
