Aragog is a giant Acromantula, a magical spider, in the Harry Potter series. Born in the Forbidden Forest, he becomes a loyal companion to Hagrid. Despite his carnivorous species, Aragog is kind to Hagrid and his offspring have fed on humans. In "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," Harry and Ron visit Aragog to learn about the creature petrifying Hogwarts students. While denying being the monster, Aragog confirms it's a spider and clears Hagrid's name. His death is a significant moment, and his funeral attended by Hagrid, Harry, and Hermione marks his loyalty and gentleness.
